Interesting article on genetic engineering. This article can help you with the third quarter project
Any thoughts??? How is genetic engineering beneficial for society?

  1. I found this article interesting and I think genetic engineering can be beneficial bemuse it can provide the society offspring with traits that it needs. Such as strong to help work on farms and factories to provide for the society and smart to help create new technologies to make life easier in society. I find that important but I also think there are major risks and I would not recommend every one trying it. Because as it says in the article there are many risks such as blindness and infections. These rusks not only can affect the baby but also the parent.

  2. When talking about genetic engineering it is interesting, and important, to consider the socioeconomic implications. This means how does it affect different economic classes. Think about how expensive it would be for parents to have their babies genetically engineered. This would mean that only people who could afford the procedures would have "perfect" babies. If this happened there could be a very big split between the rich and the poor; the rich would have genetically enhanced babies and the poor wouldn't be able to. What consequences could this have on society as a whole?
